These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Global Perspectives website and translation services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Global Perspectives Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"), registered in England & Wales under registration number 19556067.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Services.
Global Perspectives provides professional translation services in multiple languages. Our services include but are not limited to:

2.1 Account Creation: Some parts of our Services require you to create an account. When you create an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
2.2 Account Security: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section.
2.3 Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to, violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
3.1 Orders: When you place an order for our translation services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about your requirements, including the source language, target language, subject matter, intended use, and deadline. Orders are subject to our acceptance, which we may withhold for any reason.
3.2 Quotes: We provide quotes based on the information you supply. If the actual work differs from what was described (e.g., higher word count, more complex content), we reserve the right to revise the quote. Any changes to the scope of work after project commencement may result in additional charges and extended delivery times.
3.3 Payment: Payment terms will be specified in your quote or service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
3.4 Late Payment: If payment is not received according to the agreed terms, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, accruing daily from the due date until payment is made in full.
3.5 Taxes: All fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which will be added to your total amount due where required by law.
4.1 Delivery: We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed delivery dates. However, delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless explicitly specified as such in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
4.2 Delivery Method: Unless otherwise agreed, translations will be delivered electronically to the email address associated with your account or specified in your order.
4.3 Acceptance Period: You have 7 days from the delivery date to review the completed work and notify us of any issues or requested revisions. After this period, the work will be deemed accepted.
4.4 Revisions: Minor revisions will be made free of charge if requested within the acceptance period and if they fall within the scope of the original project. Substantial changes or changes to the source material after translation may incur additional charges.
5.1 Your Content: You retain all intellectual property rights to the original content you provide to us for translation. By submitting content for translation, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and modify your content solely for the purpose of providing our Services to you.
5.2 Translations: Upon full payment, you will own all rights to the translations we create for you, except for translation memories created during the process, which remain our property. Translation memories may be used for quality assurance, consistency, and reference for future projects.
5.3 Our Materials: All intellectual property rights in our website, software, tools, and methodologies remain our exclusive property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our materials without our explicit written permission.
5.4 Third-Party Content: You warrant that you have the right to submit any content to us for translation and that our translation of such content will not infringe any third-party rights. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from a breach of this warranty.
6.1 Our Commitment: We recognize that documents submitted for translation may contain confidential information. We commit to maintaining the confidentiality of your materials and will not disclose them to any third party except as necessary to provide our Services (e.g., to our translators who are bound by confidentiality agreements).
6.2 Exceptions: Our confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:
6.3 Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your confidential information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.1 Quality Commitment: We are committed to providing high-quality translation services performed by qualified linguists. All translations undergo a quality assurance process before delivery.
7.2 Limitations: Translation is an art as well as a science, and different translators may translate the same text differently while maintaining accuracy. We do not guarantee that our translation will meet your subjective stylistic preferences unless specific style guides or terminology lists are provided in advance.
7.3 Technical/Specialized Content: For highly technical, legal, medical, or specialized content, we recommend providing reference materials, glossaries, and context to ensure accuracy. We cannot guarantee the technical accuracy of translations in specialized fields unless relevant expertise was specifically requested and confirmed for your project.
7.4 Machine Translation: If our services involve post-editing of machine translation, the quality may differ from human translation. The limitations of machine translation will be communicated to you before project commencement.
8.1 Cap on Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or our Services, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
8.2 Exclusions: In no event shall we be liable for:

10.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
11.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding its existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by the courts of England and Wales.
11.3 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
11.4 No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of Global Perspectives.
11.5 Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Any attempt by you to assign or transfer these Terms without such consent will be null and void. We may freely assign or transfer these Terms without restriction.
11.6 Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding our Services and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Services.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Services.
